Disclaimer: I’m an amateur ceramicist (with ambition).

I took up ceramics in the middle of the pandemic, like many others, with the desire to start again. I wanted permission to be ‘bad’ at something and enjoy it anyway.

Ceramics are far more tactile than any other medium I’ve ever used, and as I incorporate my love for organic form, knowledge of fine artistry and illustration and learn to project it onto a 3D form which I’ve created myself, I’ve already begun to eke out a style of my own.

Going forward I would like to take the principles from Samsara Bazaar and create ceramics inspired by South Asia and the Silk Road, and continue to work in folkloric illustration and motifs.
