A Bollywood State of Mind by Professor Sunny Singh was Footnote Press’ bestseller for 2023.
I wrote copy, designed print and digital assets (including AR filters), led on creative direction and managed partnerships. We won our first award – FutureBook’s Startup of the Year – not long after.
A history of Indian cinema in its political and personal impact, it went down like a cup of chai.
The creative direction for the cover design was led by me and designed with Anna Morrison.

Black Girl Watching: a Black cinema club based in Liverpool which started life as a film blog. It now makes Black cinema accessible across the country with affordable screenings.
The brief: whimsical 90s cinema feel (thanks Spike Lee), homage paid to the client’s Jamaican roots and Afro hair as a central motif. The deadline was only two days!
The deadline: 48 hours.
The outcome: a full asset pack for print and digital: logos, stickers and colour palettes for different strands. And a cute n’ quick launch animation. See below!
